Jodie Foster has appeared in some 48 movies from 1970 to the present. She began her career by doing commercials, then made her debut as an actress in a TV episode of "Mayberry RFD," in which her older brother, Buddy Foster,  had a starring role. She received an Academy Award nomination for her role in "Taxi Driver," and by age 30 was a successful producer and director, as well as being an outstanding actress with two Oscars.
