George Winslow was nicknamed "Foghorn" because of his deep, bass voice. He played opposite such great stars as Marilyn Monroe, Cary Grant, Ginger Rogers and Clifton Webb, stealing scenes from them all. His lost his deep voice with puberty and retired from show business. Like so many other former child actors, he has avoided the limelight as an adult.
