It has been said of Margaret O'Brien that she had the greatest appeal of any child star, past or present. She had a charm that could melt the coldest heart. Her acting ability was unequaled among child stars, and her co-stars were some of the greatest names in show business.  Her movies are still TV favorites, a testament to their enduring entertainment value.  I met Margaret at a collectors' show recently and found her to be gracious and charming. I guess some things just never go away.
