When people think of Ricky Nelson today they probably think of him as a singer, but he actually sarted out on radio with the rest of his family in The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. The show ran for ten years on radio (with Ricky and his brother David appearing for the last six years) then moved to television for another fifteen years. Ricky Nelson was the first teen-idol to begin promoting his recordings on a regularly scheduled television show.
